It is such a delight being able to communicate more and more with little Xander, and getting to see more and more, each day, of what's going on inside his little brain.
Many Spanish words are part of daily conversation at our house, especially Si, Mas, and Agua.
Other words we understand through context and repeated use.
Nonnie = Johnny
Yoyo = Zorro
Doctor = 'Copter or Airplane

First Birthday Gathering

A good night's sleep feels amazing!
Mommy had to work late last night, so Daddy gave Xander a big bottle and put him to bed. When I got home an hour or so later, Xander had woken and was fussing a bit... so I breastfed him and put him back to bed around 8. And the next time we heard from him was around 6 a.m.! That is the first time he has gone the whole night without needing at least one feeding. It looks like he might need to eat a little more before bed than I can produce on demand, so perhaps we'll try the same thing tonight and see how it goes. Wish us luck!
